Tripod / Frog Stand / Planche

This one will take some work if you've never done it. Start on a mat or soft surface. Ideally you should have a spotter to help when you first try this.

The tripod is the easiest. Start with the hands and head on the ground. As you lean forward support your knees on your elbows and support your weight with your head and hands. The frog stand is the same but without using the head for support. The planche is just like the frog stand, but the knees go inside the elbows. This is more difficult because the elbows no longer take the load of the lower body. This is a very difficult exercise. Proceed with caution.

Full headstand...This is the frog stand. The planche is the same as this, but the knees are inside the elbows, or the legs are extended out (this is very difficult).
