Balance Ball Push-Up
These are push-ups performed using a balance ball to create instability. These will be more difficult than standard push-ups, so many beginners will need to work up to these. As with standard push-ups it's vital that the hips and back be kept flat. The first variation is to have the feet on the ball and the hands on the floor. The second variation is to squeeze the ball between the hands and perform push-ups with the feet on the floor. The second variation is much more difficult because of the pressure required to keep the ball from moving.
