Workouts

Be sure to read each exercise and understand how to perform it safely before you begin. Use the Print Workout link under the Daily Workout to print a copy without all the extra graphics on the site. You can also look at the Workout List (in the Library) to view or print previous workouts.

You may find it convenient to use the note boxes on your printed sheet to record your progress until you can enter it into the site (see below). Enter the number of reps and the resistance used for each set in one of the four boxes.

Progress Reports

Progress reporting is only available to users who have signed up and are presently logged in. If the option does not appear, click the Login link at the top of the page and enter your username and password. If your browser accepts cookies, the site should automatically remember your last login on that computer.

When entering your workout progress, try to be consistent so you can compare later. Enter the number of repetitions for each set in the appropriate box. If it is an exercise that says to hold for a specific amount of time, or to continue for an amount of time, enter the number of minutes or seconds as reps. In the resistance field enter a 0 if there is none, or a number that corresponds to the resistance used. If you are using stretch bands, you might want to assign numbers to them (higher numbers for stronger resistance), or use their weight equivalancy which should be printed in their packaging somewhere. If you're using weights or weight machines, enter the amount of weight in whatever measurement you use (i.e. pounds, kilograms, or the number on the machine).

Note that the web site automatically fills in progress according to the number of sets and reps in the workout. Be sure to modify each exercise for your actual workout. Also note that the site does not record any exercises that have no comments and are all zeros. So if you did not do an exercise, zero out all the sets, resistance, and leave the comments blank.

Use the comment fields to describe anything out of the ordinary or how you felt during the exercise or workout.

At the bottom you will find spaces for additional exercises. Use these for things that were not part of your fitdaily workout for the day.

Navigating FitDaily

Most information you need can be found in the library. Check here for more information on how to use this site effectively. If you do not see links to manage your account, change your password, or report progress, click Login at the top of the page and log in with your username and password.

Multiple Users & Logging out

For your convenience the site keeps you logged in automatically. You can log out at any time by clicking logout under Progress and Account Information in the Library. If you are using FitDaily on a shared computer (such as a computer at the library or shared office space) it's recommended you log out after each session. Likewise, if other people in your household have FitDaily accounts, you should log out to avoid mixing up progress reports or measurement tracking.
