The FitDaily fitness approach does not promote typical "cardio" or sustained aerobic endurance training. Instead, for healthy individuals, we train in a series of intense intervals followed by aerobic recovery.
This approach emphasizes increases in cardiac reserve output through a "sprint/jog/sprint/jog" type approach, rather than a flat endurance system. By adjusting the intensity and duration of these intervals,
more dramatic fitness improvements can be acheived, such as improving lactate threshold and increasing overall work capacity.
